Thai Airways has extended its cargo handling contract with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to now receive cargo security and trucking services between Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in Paris to regional airports in surrounding areas. The new contract will cover cargo, mail and express handling at various airports throughout France, and provides for offline handling at 12 airports in France: Orly, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nantes, Lille, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Nice, Montpellier and Rennes. The new contract will extend WFS’ cargo management for Thai Airways to more than 35 years.
Thai Cargo said in August that it plans to relocate to WFS’ Building 550 in London Heathrow (LHR)’s cargo center to gain access to a dedicated export facility with direct airside access, which is in close proximity to the U.K. Border Inspection Post (BIP). The Bangkok-based airline’s network covers destinations in Western Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia on its fleet of Boeing and Airbus widebody aircraft.
