Columbus-based 3PL ODW Logistics is opening a 200,000-square-foot logistics center, located 30 minutes from Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), bolstering its foothold in the Ohio e-commerce hub.
ODW says the facility’s services will be “fully customized for each shipper,” offering bar-code scanning, static and in-motion scales, dimensioning systems, label print and application capability, sortation services, and an A-frame conveyor system that will process up to 3,000 orders per hour.
A statement from the company cited that the hub is a 10-hour drive by truck to nearly half of the U.S. population and a third of Canada. ODW executive vice president Jeff Clark said the company’s goal is to deliver an “out-of-the-box” e-commerce fulfillment to shippers targeting U.S. and Canadian markets.
ODW works mainly with clients dealing in cosmetics, food-and-beverage products and consumer packaged goods. Outside of its home base in Columbus, it operates multiple other facilities in Ohio, Chicago, Missouri, Wisconsin and California.
