With its economic recovery in full swing, Vietnam has been named by Lufthansa Cargo as part of the carrier’s new winter schedule. The American Journal of Transportation said that, after a test phase over the summer, the cargo airline will be flying a 777F weekly to Ho Chi Minh City.
The freighter will be departing every Thursday from Frankfurt, heading for Ho Chi Minh City via Mumbai, and terminating in Hong Kong.
Noting the stable demand coming from Vietnam and the potential for more foreign investment should the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) be approved, Frank Naeve, vice president for Asia-Pacific at Lufthansa Cargo said the carrier will use its flexible network management to meet demand. “We are constantly working on making our network in the Asia-Pacific region even more attractive for our customers,” he said.
