Lufthansa Cargo has launched a new freighter service connecting Frankfurt and Chengdu (CTU), making it the fifth freighter destination the German carrier services in China, joining Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
“This extension to our network will allow us to offer solutions for the booming markets in the west of China,” said Frank Naeve, vice president of the Asia Pacific region at Lufthansa Cargo.
The 777F flight LH8410 flies out of Frankfurt Monday and Saturday, and returns from Chengdu Tuesday and Sunday. Chengdu is known as an exporter of machinery, automotive goods, pharma and medicine, and fresh produce.
Lufthansa Cargo already offers belly space to the above-named cities – as well as to Nanjing, Qingdao and Shenyang, which all lie along China’s east coast.
