Icelandair Cargo has successfully integrated supply chain management software from Luxembourg-based IT company CHAMP into its cargo operations. The carrier says it has already measured improved cargo performance since implementing the product, the timeframe of which was not made clear.
The web-based platform, called Traxon Quality, enables customers to measure shipment flows and performance, plan transportation and track shipment progress. The app interface alerts shippers about potential deviations and flags possible performance improvements.
“The platform will give us crucial insights to drive the process improvements for many years to come,” said Bertel Ólafsson, IT manager at Icelandair Cargo.
CHAMP offers various software products that promote cargo operations optimization, fostering partnerships with Cargo Community System Japan Co. (CCSJ), Japan Airlines and Silk Way West to implement digital solutions in the past year.
