Today, Netherlands-based 3PL CEVA Logistics and supply chain consultant company IMS Worldwide, Inc. (IMSW), have entered into a partnership to integrate strategic federal trade zone (FTZ) compliance into CEVA’s ocean and air logistics clients in the United States.
IMSW will provide its understanding of compliance with FTZs, which offer significant cost reductions for logistics companies dealing in cross-border trade. The company indicated that collaborating with CEVA will bolster its goals of expanding business further into Eurasia and the Americas.
CEVA has utilized IMSW for its consulting services for 12 years, but this will be the companies’ first foray into a partnership of this nature. CEVA Logistics’ chief operating officer Jerome Lorrain said the partnership will bring “a stronger, more integrated approach,” adding that IMSW “is going to be a great addition to our import and contract logistics operations.”
