U.K.-based CargoLogicAir, the offspring of the Volga-Dnepr Group, completed its first charter flights since receiving its AOC from the U.K. Civil Aviation Authority. The launch customer, Chapman Freeborn Italia, organized two 747-400F charters to Bari, Italy. The charter flights flew via Frankfurt, carrying 113 tonnes of automotive parts, including engine base plates. Chapman Freeborn booked the charters for its customer, Savino del Bene.
“We wish the airline every success and look forward to working together again in the near future,” said Enrico Fantini, cargo director for Chapman Freeborn Italia.
Following the job for Chapman Freeborn, CargoLogicAir has operated two more charter services for another customer from Nairobi to the U.K., carrying more than 200 tonnes of fresh flowers in time for Valentine’s Day.
“These flights have enabled us to demonstrate our operating capabilities for global charter services, which we will continue to offer, even following the launch of our first scheduled services this month,” said Dmitry Grishin, CEO of CargoLogicAir.
