As it did earlier this year, Canadian carrier Cargojet Airways will wet-lease one of its freighters to LOT Polish Airlines for trans-Atlantic cargo flights between Jan. 16 and April 1, 2016, according to ch-Aviation.
The two airlines had a similar 90-day agreement in January 2015 for flights between New York JFK and Warsaw Chopin Airports. LOT said it needs the freighter service during the winter months because it has fewer passenger flights scheduled, resulting in less belly space available for cargo and mail. Earlier thisyear, the aircraft used by LOT was a 767-300F.
