Air New Zealand Cargo moved its London Heathrow operations closer to the airport, to dnata City at London Heathrow.
The carrier moved into Unit Three of the cargo logistics center after 17 years at its previous handling unit.
“Being the launch customer for this state-of-the-art facility shows we are really moving with the times,” said Finlay McArthur, Air New Zealand regional cargo manager UK and Europe. “We have exceptional standards of customer service, and we are confident that being handled through this new logistics center will enable us to better serve our customers here at Heathrow.”
With an average of 1.4 million kilograms throughput a month, dnata will provide two dedicated shift managers who will monitor Air New Zealand’s cargo products 24/7. In addition to its new airfreight warehouse, transportation and yard for airside operations, the carrier will also have access to dnata City’s pets reception center.
“It’s great for us to have Air New Zealand, one of our long-standing partners, as a launch carrier for the much anticipated opening of our dnata City development at London Heathrow,” Mohammed Akhlaq, dnata’s business development director – cargo, said. “At dnata City, we are keen to work with Air New Zealand to improve the speed, quality and efficiency for its customers through our investment in new facilities and technologies,”
