United Kingdom-based Air Charter Service (ACS) has moved its Germany-based offices to a larger location near Frankfurt Airport two years ahead of schedule, said the company’s time critical manager, Oliver Weigelt.
The move was prompted to accommodate ACS’ expanding on-board courier services (OBC) team to handle time-critical deliveries. “Last year our contract numbers grew by more than 50 percent on the previous year to almost 1,700 jobs, and we are continuing the strong growth so far in 2018,” said Weigelt.
Not a traditionally cargo-focused company, ACS increased its cargo flights by 11 percent, year-over-year, in 2017, to a count of 4,300. The company expanded its presence in the Asian market, too, doubling its presence Beijing last month, moving into a facility twice the size of its predecessor.
Plus, there’s even more room to grow. “This new OBC-dedicated office gives us the space to double the size of the team in the future,” Weigelt added.
