With the rise in demand for oil and gas (O&G) exploration in the Central Asian region, Kuehne + Nagel (K+N) has opened two new offices in Baku, Azerbaijan, and Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The Swiss logistics giant has shown recent interest in the two Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, which have each shown annual GDP growth rates of about 4 percent and are located in a region where demand is rising for O&G logistics, as well as increased interest in consumer goods and other logistics projects.
“By continually expanding our logistics network we offer throughout the entire region an integrated service portfolio according to our highest quality standards to both local and international customers from all major industries,” said Perry Neumann, general director of K+N and president of its Russia and CIS cluster. “Particularly in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, our proven expertise in oil and gas and project logistics and our strong global network are best suited to meet the soaring market demand and provide comprehensive state-of-the-art solutions.”
