TNT is now calling on Tunis, the capital city of Tunisia, from its main hub in Liège, with a stop in Marseilles, France. The service will operate five times a week, with arrivals in Tunis every weekday morning, allowing early delivery for goods imported to Tunisia. The return flight will be in the evening for late-export departures to Europe.
The new service will have a weight limit of 500 kilograms per palletized shipment and short transit times to and from other cities in Europe and Africa served by TNT. The express service will operate a 737-400 aircraft on the new route.
Most of Tunisia’s trade is with Europe. The country’s industries include clothing and textiles, automotive and aeronautics components, electrical and mechanical equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
This new flight to Tunisia is the latest in a series of service improvements made by TNT under its Outlook strategy, an initiative aimed at growing TNT’s road services and focusing more on small- to medium-size enterprises. In recent months, TNT also added Malta, Tel Aviv, Venice and Hannover to its air network.
