India’s low-fare carrier, SpiceJet, has opted for SmartKargo, a cloud-based air cargo management system, becoming the first carrier in India to adopt the service for cargo operations.
SmartKargo offers cloud computing, mobile platforms and data analytics. The system, built by MIT-trained engineers, runs on Microsoft’s Azure platform and is accessible 24/7 from any internet browser. SmartKargo founder and CEO Milind Tavshikar, said the system’s capabilities will help SpiceJet build its cargo business.
