Singapore Changi Airport handled almost 2 percent less cargo in April than it did in April 2012.
Changi handled 145,600 tonnes of cargo this April, a 1.8-percent decrease.
In the first four months of 2013, cargo shipments decreased by 2.1 percent year over year to 579,600 tonnes.
The outlook for airfreight remains uncertain with threats such as high fuel prices, lowered cargo volumes and a weak economy.
