UPS air freight rates within and between the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico will increase an average net 5.2 percent Dec. 28. Additionally, UPS ground rates and UPS freight will increase an average net 4.9 percent.
On Nov. 2, the surcharge will increase for over maximum packages and the tables for ground, air and international fuel surcharges will be updated. In January, there will be a new charge for UPS’s third-party billing services. UPS said the rate and surcharge changes are due to increased costs and changing demand for select UPS products.
