This week, United Airlines released news of a new daily seasonal 767-300 passenger route between Prague and Newark that will launch June of next year. Starting June 7, the route will depart Newark at 6:05 p.m., and will return at 10:10 a.m. from Václav Havel Airport (PRG).
The frequency may appeal to forwarders in need of faster access between Eastern Europe and North America. The belly of the widebody jet has a capacity of about 18.5 tonnes – although on a long-haul route, the carrier will likely not fill it to capacity for fuel-planning reasons.
We will be discussing new trends in routes and frequencies at Cargo Facts Symposium on 10-12 October. For more information, or to register, visit www.cargofactssymposium.com.
