Today, Swiss forwarding giant Kuehne + Nagel made another step toward airfreight digitalization with the launch of “myKN,” a platform that will allow its customers of all its sectors – air, sea and overland – to access K+N’s services digitally.
The self-serve customer interface is organized into four main portals: explore, quote, book and track. It also offers the ability to store and access financial data and confidential documents.
Following the launch, the company will “continuously enhance”the myKN service with new “interactive and collaborative features,” said Detlef Trefzger, CEO of K+N International AG.
K+N is wrapping up quite a year of financial growth and expansion. Last month, it released its results for the first three quarters of 2018, which showed it was able to grow its airfreight sector by 19 percent, year-over-year – impressive, considering the general slowdown in demand for airfreight during the second half of 2018, experienced by carriers internationally.
In the same release, it reaffirmed its commitment to perishables, which it proved last week, when it acquired Quick International Courier, a healthcare and pharma-focused logistics conglomerate based in New York.
