“By offering regular fixed-day services our customers can more accurately plan their supply chain. The service will also enable us to further improve the responsiveness of our supply chain offering, to meet spikes in demand and also keep inventory levels to a minimum by reducing the need for buffer stock.”

The company said the move was a direct response to requests from its U.S. key account customers for whom the Benelux region is a key market for their export goods.

The three-times-a-week service departs from JFK on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and promises origin to destination transit times of from two to three days.
