Frankfurt air cargo community grows to 35

With the addition of Georgi Transporte and Menian Spedition, the air cargo community at Frankfurt International Airport has grown to 35 member companies from all manner of the supply chain business.

Founded in 1953, Georgi Transporte claims to be one of the largest transport companies in air freight feeder services in Europe. The company transports valuable, hazardous and temperature-controlled goods, and can also handle extra-wide loads. Georgi Transporte has 470 employees and a fleet of more than 300 vehicles.

Menian, a forwarding company, handles IATA direct shipments, groupage services, full and partial charters, and both courier and express services. The company also offers complete customs clearance and the handling of hazardous goods. One of the company’s core business sectors is cold-chain logistics for live plants.
