The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) announced Friday that Daniel Fernandez, its secretary general for the past 14 years, has left the association. The announcement comes a week after the organization said that Fernandez had been replaced by Douglas Brittin, but had been offered another position at TIACA.
“The Board of Directors wish to thank Daniel for his contribution to TIACA during his tenure as secretary general and wish him every success in his future career,” TIACA said in a statement released by its public relations agency.
Brittin, who will take over as secretary general on Aug. 15, is an aviation veteran whose most recent position has been division director, air cargo at TSA.
