DALLAS — Dnata has inked a deal with IT solutions provider IBS Software to implement its iCargo terminal operation suite across the Dubai-based ground handler’s stations around the world, dnata announced at the IATA World Cargo Symposium here.
Dnata says that it is the first ground handler to launch a global roll-out of iCargo and to have all its operations migrated to one platform.
The ground handler said that the software will be implemented across its system of more than 5,000 staff members across 27 stations in 10 countries by 2020.
Using iCargo, dnata plans to automate many of its business and operational functions, including ULD management, quality monitoring and mail management. ICargo provides real-time operational information, which will give dnata, “actionable insights which improve revenue generation and operational efficiencies.”
“With iCargo as our technology platform, we are confident that we can stay agile and adapt to the fast-changing needs of our customers across the globe,” said Bernd Struck, senior vice president for UAE Cargo & DWC Airlines Services, dnata.
