Global air cargo rates increase 4% in first week of June

Yields projected to fall 17.5% in 2024

Global air cargo demand continued to surge in the first week of June with rates increasing about 4% year over year and surpassing 2023 levels for the first time this year.  “This is partly due to strong demand from Asia Pacific with higher rates,” according to a June 6 market update from freight forwarder Flexport.
