Higher jet fuel spot rates due to China’s easing COVID-19 restrictions and U.S. refinery outages are increasing surcharges for carriers.   The number of scheduled flights for January is projected to reach 99.8% of January 2019’s levels due to the busy demand expected during the Chinese Lunar New Year, according to aviation data analytics firm Cirium.  […]
