People: Meijs to helm MST starting in October

Joost Meijs has been appointed chief executive of Maastricht Aachen Airport, effective Oct. 1. [caption id="attachment_57144652" align="alignright" width="220"] Joost Meijs[/caption] Meijs will succeed Jonas van Stekelenburg as CEO and as director of NV HBLM , the airport’s holding company. Van Stekelenburg became interim CEO of the airport (MST) in September 2023, replacing Jos Roeven . Van Stekelenburg will remain an adviser at MST through yearend. Meijs is CEO of Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) in Aruba and was CEO of Eindhoven Airport (EIN) in the Netherlands before that. As CEO of AUA, Meijs navigated the airport through the pandemic and implemented a new corporate strategy focused on safety and sustainability, according to a release from MST. Meijs played a key role in establishing the Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports , which aims to improve the safety, connectivity and sustainability of the airports in the region, according to the release. Dufour Aerospace appoints Hardegger as CEO [caption id="attachment_57144664" align="alignright" width="214"] Sascha Hardegger[/caption] Swiss drone and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) company Dufour Aerospace appointed Sascha Hardegger as CEO, effective Aug. 1. Hardegger succeeds Dufour co-founder Thomas Pfammatter , who served as CEO for seven years. Pfammatter continues as head of strategy and a member of the board of directors. Hardegger served as Dufour’s chief commercial officer since 2021, according to a release from the company. He has 12 years of experience in helicopter emergency medical services and search-and-rescue at Rega , where, as head of helicopter operations, he led development of its drone program, the release stated. ATSG names France as chief commercial officer [caption id="attachment_57144666" align="alignright" width="209"] Todd France[/caption] Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) promoted Todd France to chief commercial officer in August. France succeeds Paul Chase , who took the role in December 2022. France has served as president of ATSG’s aircraft leasing subsidiary, Cargo Aircraft Management , since December 2022. Before that, he was president of ATSG’s aircraft maintenance subsidiary, Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services . At ATSG, France has held several business development and operational management roles with Airborne and ABX Air . Inamdar becomes Kale’s CFO [caption id="attachment_57144665" align="alignright" width="207"] Shripad Inamdar[/caption] Mumbai, India-based Kale Logistics Solutions appointed Shripad Inamdar as chief financial officer. In this role, Inamdar’s first step is to automate workflows to increase efficiency and strengthen the company’s global compliance framework, according to an Aug. 1 release from Kale. Inamdar has more than 20 years of software-as-a-service and IT experience, according to the release. He previously held financial management roles at Mindtickle , GlobalStep and Cybage Software . Veyrac to lead CargoAi’s CargoWallet product [caption id="attachment_57144792" align="alignright" width="230"] Olivier Veyrac[/caption] Airfreight technology provider CargoAi appointed Olivier Veyrac as senior vice president for CargoWallet, a product launched in February 2023 that facilitates cargo payments in nearly 50 currencies. CargoWallet clients include more than 5,000 airlines, freight forwarders and logistics service providers, according to an Aug. 28 release. “CargoWallet offers the broadest reach by far in the industry [and] meets the security and confidentiality requirements demanded by the strict banking regulations,” Veyrac said in the release. “There is still room for improvement. More new features, more partners and more countries are my goals for the coming months.” Veyrac previously served in advisory and leadership roles at Veem , Beca Marketing , Bigben Interactive and Hewlett-Packard . Dai has more than 25 years of experience in aviation and e-commerce, spearheading Chinese business for several international airlines, including Qatar Airways and Virgin Atlantic , according to the release. “With the rapid growth of Chinese e-commerce and demand for it across the U.K., there is an increasing need for efficient and reliable international logistics solutions,” Dai said in the release.
