Making and transporting history
Challenge Airlines MT, the Malta subsidiary of Challenge Group, completed its inaugural flight carrying pieces of history, making the service one for the books.
The airlines flew multiple Flemish tapestries of over 300 years old between Liege (LGG) and Malta on its first service Nov. 15 following the award of its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by Transport Malta on Nov. 1.
Challenge Group has a special affinity for the pieces, which were inspired by scenes in Israel, woven in Belgium and offered as gifts to Malta, the three locations in which Challenge Group operates. The tapestries will be available for public viewing at St. John’s Co-Cathedral in Valleta, Malta.
