A few weeks after appointing Omar Hariri as its new CEO, Jeddah-based Saudia Cargo has today chosen ATC Aviation Services as the new general sales and service agent (GSSA) for the carrier’s cargo operations in South Africa. The service is set to begin on May 1.
Frankfurt-based ATC Aviation Services now has a worldwide portfolio of more than 70 airlines, located in 15 countries, including an already-existing GSSA partnership with Saudia Cargo in Brazil.
Saudia Cargo, which provides airfreight services to more than 230 destinations worldwide, is currently carrying out its “transformation 2020” program that was launched early 2017, in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian government’s “Saudi Vision 2030” plan to diversify its economy and upgrade various public sectors.
Hariri, who was named CEO on March 26, has held many leadership positions over the past few years in the fields of transportation, supply and logistics, will lead the new transformation 2020 initiative, as well as “strengthen the aspects of security and safety in all stations and facilities to meet the international quality standards,” the carrier said.
