SEKO Logistics has opened an 80,000-square-foot facility (pictured) at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Logistics Park that combines its cross-border e-commerce, omni-channel and international transportation and fulfilment solutions under one roof.
The new warehouse is part of an ongoing push at SEKO to expand its e-commerce footprint, with fulfillment for multiple wholesale, retail and e-commerce channels, including reverse logistics and returns.
The warehouse has a capacity of 5,500 pallet positions and provides more thanr 6,500 storage locations for individual stock units. It also incorporates 10,000 square feet of high-value storage space, plus a segregated area for dangerous goods shipments.
Bob van der Putten, managing director of SEKO Logistics for the Benelux countries and Germany, explained that, “given Amsterdam’s importance at one of world’s leading logistics gateways, it is also the right location to lead the planned development of our Final Mile and White Glove services in Europe, using the experience we have already gained in the U.S, market. This expansion puts us on track to achieve record growth in the Netherlands in 2018.”
